Richard Ashcroft 將於 5 月發行個人第 4 張專輯

來自 The Verve 的 Richard Ashcroft，即將於今年 5 月發行個人名義的第四張專輯【These People】。

【These People】是 Richard Ashcroft 睽違 10 年的個人專輯，在 The Verve 1999 年第二次解散後，Richard Ashcroft 展開了個人的音樂事業，發行了三張個人專輯都取得相當出色的成績。不過 Richard Ashcroft 本人卻神隱，直到 2005 年才又漸漸重回舞台，和 Coldplay 一起在 Live 8 的現場演唱時，Chris Martin 用「最出色的一首歌，以及世界上最好的主唱」介紹 Richard Ashcroft，讓不少新世代的樂迷認識了 Richard Ashcroft 。之後 Richard Ashcroft 也解釋消失的那段時間大家都有很多揣測，不過實際的原因其實是在帶小孩。

The Verve 也在 2007 年 6 月正式宣布重組，不過很快的 Richard Ashcroft 被其他團員批評只想利用重組拉抬個人的音樂事業，於是在 2009 年 8 月第三度宣布解散，在這短暫的兩年內，樂團仍留下了專輯【Forth】給樂迷作為紀念。

在 The Verve 解散之後，Richard Ashcroft 組成了樂團 RPA & The United Nations of Sound 的名義發行了作品 【United Nations of Sound】遭受到無情的批評。

樂評網站 pitchfork 在滿分 10 分的評鑑，甚至只給了這張專輯 3.2 的超低評價。

經過 6 年時間， Richard Ashcroft 這次再度回歸個人，於 5 月發行個人名義的第四張專輯【These People】，首支主打《This Is How It Feels》已在網路上公開。

在新曲公開後 Richard Ashcroft 也得到來自一直以來相當支持自己的好友 Liam Gallagher 的捧場和稱讚。
